"Exterior renovation" covers several distinct scopes of work, and we handle all of them: • Siding replacement — vinyl, fiber cement, and wood siding replacement and repair, matched to the architectural style common in the Tri-Cities • Roofing — architectural shingle roof replacement and repair • Decks & patios — new deck construction, deck replacement, and covered outdoor living spaces built to current IRC deck code requirements • Windows & doors — exterior door and window replacement as part of a broader exterior package • Exterior painting & trim — refreshing trim, fascia, and exterior paint as a standalone project or alongside siding work

1. Site assessment — we inspect your existing siding, roofline, and any structural concerns before scoping the project. 2. Material selection — we walk you through siding and roofing material options suited to our climate. 3. Permitting — most re-roofing and siding replacement projects require a building permit, and deck construction almost always requires a permit due to structural and railing code requirements. We pull all required permits. 4. Construction — tear-off/removal of existing material, structural repair where needed, and installation of new materials to code. 5. Final inspection & cleanup — we schedule the required inspections and fully clean the site.

Exterior project costs vary enormously by scope. We provide a written, itemized estimate broken out by material and labor after our on-site assessment. Siding projects typically run 1–3 weeks depending on home size; roof replacements are often completed in 2–5 days of active work (weather-dependent); deck construction typically runs 1–3 weeks depending on size and complexity. Northeast Tennessee's freeze-thaw cycles and humidity make proper flashing, moisture barriers, and ventilation critical on any exterior project — cutting corners here shows up as rot and water intrusion within a few years, not decades.
